Bitcoin-Erpressungsmail mit Nacktbildern

Aktuell häufen sich betrügerische E-Mails von einem "anonymen Hacker". Der Sender hat angeblich intimes Videomaterial von Ihnen, das er an Freund/innen, Bekannte und Familie weiterleitet, sollte kein Schweigegeld in Form von Bitcoins überwiesen werden. Im Anhang finden Sie veröffentlichte Nacktbilder angeblicher früherer Opfer, die der Forderung nicht nachgekommen sind. Ignorieren Sie E-Mails dieser Art! Das besagte Video existiert nicht.

Leser und Leserinnen berichten uns immer wieder von erpresserischen E-Mails von einem anonymen Hacker. „Anonymous Hacker – Xavier“ erklärt Ihnen, dass er Ihren Computer und die Webcam gehackt und Sie beim Surfen auf Pornoseiten erwischt habe. Er hätte Sie dabei beim Masturbieren gefilmt und droht damit, das Videomaterial an all Ihre Kontakte zu versenden, wenn Sie nicht innerhalb von 72 Stunden Bitcoins im Wert von 2000 US-Dollar überweisen. E-Mails dieser Art sind in den unterschiedlichsten Variationen und Sprachen im Umlauf, sind jedoch in jedem Fall harmlos und zu ignorieren!

Um das zu verhindern, müssen Sie 2000 US-Dollar in Form von Bitcoins überweisen. Kriminelle bestücken die E-Mail mit Nacktfotos von anderen angeblich Betroffenen, um Sie einzuschüchtern und der Forderung Nachdruck zu verleihen.

Was hat es mit den Nacktbildern auf sich?

Der Erpresser schildert in der E-Mail, dass bereits Fotos von Personen, die die geforderte Summe nicht transferiert haben, veröffentlicht wurden. Sie finden von den angeblichen Opfern obszöne Bilder vor. Tatsächlich handelt es sich jedoch um pornografisches Material, das Betrüger/innen von diversen Seiten kopiert haben. Es existieren weder Fotos oder Videos von Ihnen noch von anderen. Es handelt sich um einen plumpen Erpressungsversuch, der an unzählige E-Mail-Adressen versendet wird.

Wurde ich gehackt?

Sie wurden definitiv nicht wie in der Mail angegeben gehackt und das besagte Videomaterial gibt es nicht! Kriminelle wollen Sie durch die detaillierte Beschreibung des Hack-Angriffes einschüchtern. „Anonymous Hacker“ ist nicht in Ihren Computer bzw. in Ihre Webcam eingedrungen, hat Sie nicht gefilmt und auch nicht Ihre Kontaktliste heruntergeladen. All das wurde frei erfunden! Haben Sie dennoch Zweifel, nehmen Sie einen Virenscan vor, um sich abzusichern.

Wie erkenne ich derartige Erpressungsversuche?

Es gibt einige Hinweise darauf, dass es sich um einen plumpen Erpressungsversuch handelt und die Nachricht frei erfunden wurde:

  • Die E-Mail ist unpersönlich. Sie werden nicht mit Ihrem Namen angeschrieben.
  • Die Formulierungen sind allgemein. Das liegt daran, dass der "Hacker" lediglich über E-Mail-Adressen verfügt und die Forderung massenhaft versendet.
  • Bei den Nacktfotos handelt es sich nicht um reales Fotomaterial, sondern um Bilder aus der Pornoindustrie.
  • Reflektieren Sie: Haben Sie überhaupt eine Webcam? Wäre es möglich, Sie beim Masturbieren oder anderen Tätigkeiten zu filmen? Haben Sie vor kurzem überhaupt pornographisches Material konsumiert? Haben Sie eine Antiviren-Software installiert, die Schadsoftware oder Hackerangriffe erkennen und blocken könnte?
  • Haben Sie noch Bedenken, starten Sie einen Virenscan und kontrollieren Ihren Computer auf Angriffe.
  • Hätte ein Hacker tatsächlich etwas gegen Sie in der Hand, würde er vermutlich Auszüge Ihres Foto- oder Videomaterials anhängen. Der Anhang anderer Bilder lässt darauf schließen, dass es keine intimen Dateien über Sie gibt!
